Where does a year go to??  WOW — we’re already preparing for another GREAT year ahead!

We are thrilled to continue the successful Pro Artistico Program which has resulted in amazing and exciting activities for its students — coming this year we are thrilled to expand on this program and create even more exciting performance and choreography opportunities.  In addition to carrying on a strong technical ballet program, we are developing a half-day program for commercial dance.  With a focus on preparing students for film, theatre and commercial work, we are excited to be providing a training opportunity unlike any other.
Here are some highlights of new classes to be involved in:

Scriptwork – prepare for auditions for film and stage.

Acrobatics – an enhanced program that includes tumbling and tricks as well as two choreography classes – a mainstream acro and commercial acro.

Musical Theatre/Broadway – not only for singers, musical theatre opens up a whole new world of dance like Wicked, The Lion King and other Broadway hits!

Tap – Choreography and Rhythms bring new life to Tap at Pro Arte.  Tap is making a comeback and it’s new and fresh at Pro Arte.

Hip Hop – With two amazing professional hip hop teachers at Pro Arte and our commitment to GREAT technique, you KNOW that there are exciting times ahead for this genre — including our Sovereign Apprentice Program.

Improvisation – a must have experience for more advanced dancers!

Commercial Workshops – we have an exciting line-up of workshops of professionals from the industry.  Students have the opportunity to be prepared for auditions as well as working with agents.  The Lower Mainland is “Hollywood North” and we want to equip students to participate if they choose!
AND ….

Pro Arte continues to have its Foundations in the following:

Ballet – yes – this year will see a return to examination work.  The last COVID years are behind us and we look forward to seeing our students excel again!

Contemporary – Look forward to some new contemporary features that include choreography that will raise awareness of our environment.

Modern – Teaching the foundations of technique in free movement classes, look forward to examination classes — remember that this examinations lead to high school credits in the BC School system.

Jazz – for fun and a great time – these classes are fantastic!

Lyrical – blending the best of ballet, jazz and contemporary, feed your imagination and creativity in this free movement style!

INTRODUCING FUTURE STARS!!

This program is specially designed for the young dancer (ages 5-6).  These classes will provide training in ballet/ contemporary, acro and musical theatre to encourage and nurture students with the joy of dance and the fun of friendships.  In fact — this group will be prepared with choreography that introduce performance in a stress free environment.

A great way to start … these classes teach coordination, confidence, social skills and creativity — contact us for more information!

JULY WORKSHOPS

We know that this Summer is a time of travelling and reconnecting with friends and family now that COVID restrictions have lifted.  To support these family priorities, we have developed Workshops that are held in the middle of the week – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday!

Introduced in these workshops is our enhanced emphasis on acrobatics, hip hop and tap.  Coming up in August we will be holding more Workshops with contemporary, lyrical, ballet and jazz.

And … we haven’t forgotten our youngest dancers!!  We have one-day sampler camps on July 11 and 25.

We are thrilled to introduce the team for the upcoming year!  The planning sessions for the coming season has been full of laughter and excitement as we plan for the BEST experience for our dancers!  We can’t wait to get started.
